plate. Bobby swings and misses the ball entirely. The crowd is silenced as the opposing team cheers in excitement. Bobby’s team walks off the field, ignoring him, until he is the only person on the field. CAMERA quickly pulls away from Bobby as he stands alone at the plate. CUT TO: EXT. STREET – NIGHT Young Bobby walks in the middle of the street. Rural neighborhood. He walks with his head down, kicking his baseball bat with each step... Three older boys appear in the background... Bobby notices, but ignores them. He knows what will happen next. BULLY #1 Hey batter batter batter.... The boys laugh, walking at a faster pace to catch up to Bobby. BULLY #2 Hey Bobby boy! Where you going’? BULLY #3 Yeah! Where you goin’? BULLY #1 The games have just begun ol Bobby Boy. Bobby begins to walk faster, clenching his baseball bat tightly.
