the speaker of the poems was going through grief. Alternatively, I wanted my poems to be specific enough to give voice to the feelings I believe we all have, but aren’t always capable of expressing. Every piece of writing I have ever loved put into words a feeling I hadn’t known how to express. My one hope is that I was able to do that for all of you who are reading this. If I have done that, then I’ll always have that to hold on to. Thank you, and enjoy.
