dog-like. I chose to write about dogs because I wanted to see if I could translate my passion for their relationships with people and dogs to the readers of this piece. I wanted to make this a love story because in fact I do think that my dog Amos is in love with our neighbors dog Troy. I am not a very experienced creative writer; I thought that if I wrote something I knew and was surrounded by, I could have an easier time. I wanted to right a short story because I felt that to convey the idea I had for my piece I needed it to be short so I could encapsulate the detail and imagery in it. To really understand the writing of this piece, you have to read it through dog’s eyes. Since dogs don’t understand concepts like technology and cars I had to see it through their eyes while also trying to convey what it actually is.
