Fifth Grade Activist Album

Culver City, showcased student-created films and included a panel of professional filmmakers including alumni parents and directors Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris; producer Jordan Horowitz; and former Wildwood teacher and writer Julia Hart. { MULTICULTURAL SYMPOSIUM: 6 Students embraced the joys and challenges of diversity in a wide range of workshops at the 12th annual symposium, “Rise Up!” with keynote speaker Reverend Ed Bacon, who shared, “We can’t rise up if we shut down.” { ELEMENTARY INTENSIVES: 7 At the 4th Grade Visual Arts Intensive Exhibition, artists delved into the world of stop motion filmmaking, including pre-production, production, and post. . { NEW DIRECTIONS DAY OF SERVICE: 8 During a day of service, Wildwood’s Division Two students forged strong connections with the members of New Directions for Veterans. { FIFTH GRADE ACTIVIST ALBUM: 9 Fifth graders wrote, recorded, and produced Rising Voices, an “activist album” of protest songs to inspire change in unjust systems.
