3.1.2 Kessil A360X Tuna Blue LEDs Kessil A360X Tuna Blue LEDs were chosen for their reputation to be high-quality lamps, to have high output for their size, and their ability to be linked and programmed using a controller (Fig. 23). The Kessil Tuna Blue lamp automatically provides a blend of light wavelengths that have been determined to be preferable in the growth of corals.

Figure 23. The Kessil A360X has a small profile for its output. The Kessil lights were mounted in the center of the hybrid fixture. Two A360X Circular LED Hybrid Mounting Brackets (center, Fig. 24) were fastened to open space of the Aquatic Life Hybrid Fixture (left, Fig. 24), positioned 9 inches from each end with 18 inches between them. The fixture was hung at a height that minimizes light spillover to neighboring tanks. A series of K-Link cables (right, Fig. 24) were used to connect each light to each other in a daisy-chained style, and to the Spectral A360X controller.

The Color setting is for aesthetics only - the higher the percentage, the bluer the tank looks. In addition to changing the overall color, the user can also change, again for aesthetics only, the percent of violet, red, or green.
