Click “Find event, then” which will analyze the data. Once it is finished the “write report” button will make itself clickable. Click it to make a full report of the occultation. This is the readable data that shows if an occultation occurred. Figure 21. has both “find event, then” and “write report” circled in red and green respectively. Once Pyote has written a report it will open a new window containing the report. Find the page containing the images in Figure 22. As explained in the figure, if the red line is to the right of the black line, then that means that it is not a false positive and is an actual occultation.

Figure 22. Example of the report created by Pyote and what a confirmed occultation looks like.

4. Acknowledgements I would like to thank J.A. Wise (WISRD COO) for introducing me to the RECON project leads, Dr.’s Marc Buie, and John Keller. Their presentation on how to use PyMovie and PyOte were critical to this paper. Finally, WISRD’s RECON Research Group’s Principal Investigator Ian Norfolk for helping me gather the data used in the examples. 5.
