Photo collection for the internship during which this experiment was conducted began on July 6th. Thirty days of images were examined. On several occasions, fragment plugs had rotated, and were repositioned as soon as was noticed. Two methods for image analysis were utilized: measuring “by hand” using Google Slides to get a sense of examining images and approximating a rate of growth, and using PlantCV, an artificial intelligence method appropriate for examining large data sets over an extended period.
