model that considers the characterization of the novel and predicts an affective response based on textual elements.

Research Questions 1. What are the phenomenological neuropsychological effects of literature on an individual?

2. Can neuropsychological affective responses to literature be correlated to an individual text?

3. Using the above correlation, can an analytical framework predict the neuropsychological affective responses to a text

Hypotheses: 1. Reading different texts induce a different neuropsychological affective response in an individual.

2. Neuropsychological affective responses can be generally correlated to specific texts.

3. Using the general correlation, the neuropsychological affective response can be predicted based on textual elements characterized by Digital Humanities.

Null Hypotheses: Each null hypothesis corresponds to the Hypotheses section.

1. Reading different texts does not influence an individual’s neuropsychological affective response.

2. No apparent general correlation can link neuropsychological affective response to specific texts.

3. If no general correlation can be significantly established, then a model based on textual elements of literature cannot predict the affected response of a text. Alternative Hypothesis: Phenomenological neuropsychological affective responses to literature are negligible relative to the natural variance. Thus, a quantification of responses based on the stimulus (reading) cannot be significantly correlated.
